Avery Sunshine
Avery Sunshine, a singer-composer well-known for his distinctive blend that combines soul jazz R&B and R&B. From Broadway to European events and bars, the artist has worked everywhere. Sunshine's given title is Denise White. Although she's located in Atlanta however, her ancestors are in Chester Pennsylvania. There she was first introduced to the idea of becoming a musician, playing instruments and singing at church. After attending Spellman College, Atlanta she started her journey in music on the Atlanta's R&B music scene. First song featuring her voice was Stalk You A Japanese-influenced house 12 that was remixed and has become a part of her set. Her voice has also been a part of voices to The Fighting Temptations' soundtrack. In 2005, she was hired as the primary keyboardist in Tyler Perry's stage play Meet the Browns. Jennifer Holliday was the Grammy and Tony Award winner who approached her in 2007 to serve as the Choral Director for Dreamgirls a theatre production in Atlanta's National Black Arts Festival. Sunshine was the subject of national media attention through four performances a day at the 2008 Democratic National Convention and was later invited to sing during President Barack Obama's inauguration in 2009.
