Charissa Thompson born May 4, 1982, in Seattle Washington United States is one of America's best known and richest sportscasters. ESPN analyst was hired in 2012 to co-host SportsNation. She was also co-host of the ABC show Splash, alongside Joey Lawrence. Thompson is a native of Seattle Washington. She was the youngest of three children, and she envisioned her dream to become a broadcaster at an early age. She was a student at Inglemoor High School in Kenmore Washington. Thompson was able to move to California to study at a community college as well as gain California residency. She later moved to the University of California Santa Barbara where she earned her Bachelor of Arts. Thompson received her bachelor's degree from the university of California Santa Barbara with a bachelor's education with a major in Law and Society. Thompson says that, despite the fact that Sports Illustrated said about her decision to leave Washington State in order to attend an institution of higher learning in California and then transfer into UC Santa Barbara she never attended WSU.
